This highly anticipated one-day event aims to bring together around 50 individuals from South Africa who are interested in learning more about Effective Altruism (EA) and EA-aligned principles. The summit will feature talks, discussion sessions, workshops, one-on-ones, and panel sessions to facilitate knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded people and organisations, fostering cooperation and inspiring impactful action.
The summit is organised by EA South Africa, with the support of the Centre for Effective Altruism.

Thanks to the generous support of the Centre for Effective Altruism and our dedicated team, attendance at the summit is completely free.
Is there any support available for travel or accommodation?
Yes. We may provide travel support under exceptional circumstances, however, we have limited funding for this.
Will meals be provided at the summit?
Yes, attendees will enjoy a delicious and nutritious vegan meal as part of the summit activities.
What if I have dietary restrictions?
The organisers will offer a range of catering options to accommodate various dietary preferences and restrictions. If you have specific dietary needs, please indicate them in your application or contact the organisers directly.
Can I come for only part of the time?
We encourage attendees to participate for the entire day, but we understand that some may need to attend only part of the summit
